Creating organized spaces has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. When I was 5 years old, I would organize merchandise and storage areas at the wood carving studio my grandpa taught at. As a child and teenager, I would stay up late organizing closets at sleepovers. During graduate school, I would organize my home to procrastinate doing academic work. I took that passion for organizing into my career.

I began my visual merchandising career when I entered the retail world in 2013. In addition to the expected visual merchandising responsibilities, I have led a team that created business-wide merchandising standards, and created settings for television shoots. I have been part of a team that opened a new store for a family-run business in Alaska, and I have led a team in setting up a new store for one of Canada’s leading outdoor retailers.

Directing a business or running a home is not easy and it requires wearing many hats. Quite often something has to give, and it’s not uncommon for that to be organization. I’m familiar with the headaches that go along with unorganized and inefficient spaces in homes and businesses. With my experience in organizing homes and businesses and my expertise in visual merchandising, it’s no surprise that creating functional and inspiring spaces comes naturally to me.
